Since the current situation does not allow an exchange of presence as usual and digitisation has taken on a new significance in society in recent times, the conference “Digitisation in Local Communities” took place virtually on 19th June 2020. After the visitors were welcomed via stream by Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart, there was the opportunity to listen to lectures on a conference stage and to inform themselves about various projects in a virtual exhibition at the stands. The INSPIRE contact point was equipped with flyers, roll-ups and further information, which the participants could view or download as PDF files. In addition, the virtual conference enabled direct interaction with the participants via an integrated chat, so that the stand visitors did not have to miss out on personal communication and exchange of information about the project.
